2017 Show Season
My first year with my very own magical pony, W Spotlight. We competed in the FEI Junior division, earning the place as the first NAJYRC Region 8 reserve ride by a very close margin. Spotlight definitely won “most improved” this year, scoring from 56% to 70%! We also were able to (somehow) complete his, my, and our first Fourth Level test with a fair amount of success. Go Spotty! For clinics, I had was fortunate to ride with Jan Ebling, Liz Austin, Lendon Gray, Kathy Connelly, and Ashley Madison. I also had a wonderful time at the Region 8 Jr/YR Clinic on a borrowed mare, La Habanara, owned by Cathy Liston, with Charlotte Bredahl-Baker. As 2018 begins we are packing the trailer for Aiken, South Carolina, where my new best friend (who did make it on the NAJYRC team!) and I will be working students for Tanya Rennie. Here’s to 2018!
2016 Show Season
This year, I showed DeJure and All That N’ More, and was very fortunate to take La Habanara (Karma) (owned by Cathy Liston) to an EDAP clinic with Lendon Gray (who made me ride both days stirrup-less, which was very painful, considering how big Karma’s gaits are!)
I showed the princess at Third Level all summer, and was very lucky to be able to take her all the way to the Region 8 Championships! See the article about that here.
I also showed All That N’ More (Andy) a couple of times at Second Level, which went both very well and very poorly…
I also earned two major USDF Recognitions- my Bronze Medal and the Youth Volunteer of the Year Award! The USDF Convention in St. Louis was the perfect way to wrap up the year.
For NEDA Year-Ends…
It was a great summer, I learned a lot, and I got to meet some really interesting people!
2015 Show Season
This year was my third showing, and I had the wonderful opportunity to bring two more horses along, as well as the princess: Atara and Andy (All That N’ More)
We also would have placed Third for The NA Oldenburg Society for First Level Jr/YR!
2014 Show Season
This was my second year of showing. I showed Training 1 through First 3. I showed this year on DeJure. We ended up 27th in the country for Training Level… not bad!!
2013 Show Season
This year was my first year of showing. Throughout it, I showed through tests Intro A to Training 1. I was showing on Dream Girl, aka “Pippin”, who had to retire that winter due to an episode of laminitis.
